Everyday, without realizing it, people put on a mask that they
use to hide themselves from reality. They use it to block out
what they don’t want to see. This ball is raise awareness of these masks and to help people to take them off and see the truth.
See that everyday there are 12 million children in Africa suffering from AIDS and its effects. In 2006, there were 24.7 million adults and children living with HIV/AIDS. We need to take off our masks of innocence and see the world for what it isÖa place
where millions in pain go unnoticedÖand do something about it.

The A.F.R.I.C.A. Masquerade Ball promotes the removal of this
mask and is raising money to go to the Keep A Child Alive
charity, where it will go to meeting the needs of children
throughout Africa.
